How to Become a Member

Greenland Housing co-op is only accepting subsidy applications at the current time and the co-op’s waitlist is only open to subsidy applicants. All market applications remain closed.

The co-op currently has an RGI% of 25% for the 2023 Year-End. In order to qualify as a subsidy applicant, the total household income must be below:

  • $57,060 for 2 bedroom unit
  • $65,076 for 3 bedroom unit
  • $70,212 for 4 bedroom unit

Applicants should be willing to participate in the co-op and volunteer time in the co-op committees. This is a non-smoking co-op.

For applications already received, applicants are contacted and given a date for the next Orientation Meeting that they should attend.

When applicants are contacted to attend an interview, they are required to provide their most recent tax assessment and three months of current pay stubs. This is to be brought to the interview in a sealed envelope.

All applications will be kept on file for one year. If you wish to continue to be considered for membership, you must inform the co-op office in writing every six months.

Once approved, you will be notified of acceptance into our Community and then be expected to provide the share purchase (deposit) . Before move-in you will do a unit inspection, keys will be given to you and we will welcome you to your new neighborhood.
